Welcome to the Morris Kitchen, Home of Real Desserts and Real Stories

We’re the Morris family, five women brought together not just by blood, but by butter, sugar, and a serious obsession with desserts. This blog is more than a recipe collection. It’s a living scrapbook of what happens when passion, personality, and a whole lot of taste testing come together under one roof.

Our story didn’t start with a business plan or a viral moment. It started around our kitchen table. Someone mixing, someone measuring, someone stealing chocolate chips from the bowl. Our weekends became baking experiments. Our baking experiments turned into traditions. And eventually, those traditions grew into this space where we share the best of what comes out of our kitchen.

We’re not trained pastry chefs or culinary influencers. We’re a family that bakes the way we live. A little messy. Very real. Always from the heart.

Here’s who we are and what we each bring to the table.

Hana Morris

Hana is the anchor of the kitchen. She bakes with feeling, memory, and a pinch of nostalgia. Her cakes are the kind you dream about for birthdays, her pies are rich with golden crusts, and her cookies always hit the exact right level of chewy. If something smells like cinnamon and vanilla, it’s probably Hana doing her thing. She believes in the classics, but she’s always open to a twist if it makes the bake better.

Amelia Morris

Amelia brings the shortcuts that don’t feel like shortcuts. She’s all about speed, simplicity, and flavor that speaks for itself. If you’ve got ten minutes and a craving, Amelia probably already has a recipe in mind. She shares the cookie space with Hana and leans into recipes with minimal ingredients that still taste like they took hours.

Emma Morris

Emma is bold. She’s the one stacking layers, swirling ganache, and adding edible glitter when no one asked for it. She makes desserts you want to post before you eat. Her brownies are rich and unapologetic, her bars are full of surprises, and she shares tart duties with Hana for when a little extra flair is needed. Emma loves to turn a classic recipe into something unforgettable.

Lila Morris

Lila is calm, collected, and all about smart simplicity. She’s the queen of foundational recipes and easy wins. She’s the one you’ll find blending, chilling, and prepping treats that don’t need an oven but still hit all the sweet spots. She loves clean ingredients and fuss-free recipes, and her staples are the base for a lot of what the rest of us build on.

Raven Morris

Reviewer. Taste Tester. Voice of Reason.

Raven doesn’t bake as much. But she tastes. And she tells it like it is. She’s the one who gives honest feedback, good or bad, and keeps the rest of us grounded. If something doesn’t pass the Raven test, it doesn’t make it on the blog. Her reviews are the final stamp of approval and sometimes the source of our best kitchen laughs.

But a great kitchen always has room for more, and our team has grown into something truly special. That’s where Olivia, Emma, Amelia, Charlotte, and Mary come in. Each one brings a unique spark to our baking family, making sure our blog is always brimming with new flavors and ideas.

Olivia

Olivia has a sixth sense for cookie dough. She’s the mastermind behind melt-in-your-mouth classics, surprising flavor mashups, and the kind of cookies you can’t stop reaching for. Her philosophy: there’s no such thing as too many cookies.

Emma

Emma’s all about cake, in every shape and size. If you see a jaw-dropping birthday cake, a playful batch of cupcakes, or a dreamy layer cake with perfect frosting, that’s her magic at work. For Emma, cake isn’t just dessert, it’s an experience.

Amelia

Amelia is on a lifelong quest for the ultimate brownie. She’s always testing new recipes, adding her signature twists, and making sure every batch hits that fudgy-chocolate sweet spot. If you need comfort food, Amelia’s brownies are a guaranteed fix

Charlotte

Charlotte’s world is all about flaky crusts and delicious fillings. From rustic fruit galettes to decadent chocolate tarts, she knows how to make any dessert feel like a celebration. She’s never met a pie she couldn’t perfect.
